Home of Nomad

2023

Home of Nomad is a long-form immersive film that brings together natural environments, imagined architectures, and celestial atmospheres into a continuous journey. Built from a series of Rank SSS artworks, the work moves through forests, gardens, and cosmic spaces, forming a world where presence, memory, and belonging shape the narrative.

At its core, Home of Nomad reflects on the idea of “home” as something internal. It follows the sense of place we carry within us, one that is shaped by experience, emotion, and the traces of the environments that stay with us over time. Environments unfold slowly, shifting in scale and perspective as the film progresses: open terrains, dense vegetation, scattered structures, and quiet paths appear like fragments of places remembered or dreamed. These scenes hold a calm tension between the natural and the otherworldly, forming an atmosphere that feels timeless and slightly distant from reality.

The film draws from Rank SSS’s background in architecture and bioclimatic design, visible in the clarity of space, height, and composition. Each element is set with intent, guiding perception and shaping how the viewer experiences distance, proximity, and scale. Recurring imagery from natural environments to celestial spaces and architectural structures carries a quiet continuity throughout the film, linking each environment to the next.

Home of Nomad becomes a reflection on movement, identity, and the spaces we inhabit internally. It moves forward as one continuous environment, evolving through quiet transitions, carried by an ongoing desire for connection.

More than a film, Home of Nomad is an intimate meditation on belonging, memory, and the inner landscapes that shape how we see the world.
