Rank SSS’s First Solo Exhibition in China

This exhibition marked Rank SSS’s first solo presentation in China, curated and produced by INZLAB within a traditional Chinese-style venue with strong architectural and cultural character.

The exhibition unfolded in two phases. The first phase focused on large-scale on-screen installations, presenting a selection of Rank SSS’s visual worlds across architectural displays. The works emphasized scale, atmosphere, and spatial continuity, inviting viewers into immersive environments shaped by the architecture of the venue.

The second phase introduced an interactive system combining card selection and gesture recognition. Visitors selected one of several scene cards, triggering a corresponding visual environment on the central screen.

Infrared sensors detected audience movement, causing parts of the projected scene to dissolve into particles in real time. The visuals responded directly to human presence, transforming the experience through interaction. At the center of the installation, six high-resolution scenes were presented on the venue’s largest screen, each adapted to the proportions and structure of the space.

This solo exhibition represented an important milestone in Rank SSS’s international practice, introducing her immersive and interactive approach to digital art within a Chinese cultural context.
