The Forest of Infinite Secrets is a long form audiovisual work built from a series of Rank SSS artworks created between 2022 and 2024. Conceived as a cinematic journey, the film brings together natural environments, architectural sensibilities, and digital worlds into a single narrative space.
At its core, The Forest of Infinite Secrets reflects on perception. It traces how the world changes shape as we grow: how scale, presence, and the sense of wonder shift from childhood to adulthood; how familiarity turns distant; how the natural world becomes something we look at instead of something we feel part of. The film reopens that relationship. It invites the viewer to move slowly, to observe subtle shifts in space and form, and to reconnect with an environment that feels both remembered and unknown.
The work draws from Rank SSS’s background in architecture and bioclimatic design, echoing the way volumes, paths, and spatial relations shape emotional awareness. Forests, landscapes, and imagined ecosystems unfold with quiet movement and layered depth, forming places that feel inhabited by memory. Throughout the film, environments become passages that open onto nature and the digital realm, the tangible and the imagined, the grounded and the infinite.
More than a film, The Forest of Infinite Secrets is a meditation on transformation, on what changes in us, what remains, and how perception becomes the bridge between the worlds we see and the ones we sense.
Structure of the Film
Chapter I The Living Forest
The journey opens inside a vast forest environment. Scale becomes the first language of perception: towering trees, dense vegetation, and enlarged natural forms reshape the experience of presence. The landscape moves in slow, silent transitions, inviting the viewer into a space that feels familiar, yet slightly estranged from reality.
Chapter II The Library of Memory
In the forest, a structured space appears like libraries hidden among the trees. Clear lines, height, and ordered forms shape an environment grounded in calm presence. Scale and perspective expand quietly across several dimensions, holding a subtle sense of recollection through stillness and the experience of space.
Chapter III The Tree of Knowledge
A monumental tree appears as a point of stillness. Its presence is central to the film’s emotional axis: rooted, expansive, and anchored between earth and sky. It becomes a quiet reminder of continuity, wisdom, and the deep time of nature.
Chapter IV Into the Cosmos
The final movement shifts into a cosmic dimension where natural landscapes and celestial forms coexist. Boundaries dissolve between the forest and the universe. The image opens a perspective, revealing a continuity between what is earthly and what reaches beyond it, held together by perception.
Screenings and Presentations
Pixim World Gallery, Budapest 2025
The first full screening of the film, presented as a multi-screen installation unfolding the complete four-chapter work within an immersive gallery setting.
Kanvas, Dubai 2025
The film’s official Dubai debut, presented at Kanvas as a large-scale multi-surface installation. The screening introduced the work to the city through an immersive exhibition format that highlighted its atmosphere, scale, and cinematic continuity.
